Second Story
Best Band on the Floor
 The Second Story Band is a fresh, exciting combination of talented and experienced players that enjoy making music for you, whether you like to listen or you can't keep from dancing. Their song list of vintage rock tunes ranges from The Allman Brothers, Little Feat and Bob Dylan to Paul Simon, Steely Dan and the Police. With an ear to the past, Second Story performs many favorites not heard in other clubs. There's lots of experience onstage, too. The band consists of Rick Zirconi, keyboardist and well known professor of jazz and percussion at Henderson State University; Jim Haugner, a popular fixture around town for years on the bass; new face Luke Pittman, a talented singer and guitarist; and Bill Halbrook, a former touring drummer proficient in many musical styles.
 Rick Zirconi has played keyboards and other instruments in dozens of venues in several states. During his musical tenure he's had the privilege of playing with Henry Mancini and Roger Williams, and he's currently the tympanist in the Arkansas Symphony. Bill Halbrook is the featured drummer in the Stardust Big Band and the Arkansas Jazz Orchestra, and he brings a myriad of percussive styles and interests to the Second Story Band. Jim Haugner has been providing bass and guitar for local groups from the Bath House Show to jazz trios to rock'n'roll bands for nearly twenty years, and his love of music and performing stretches back over 40 years, too, like Rick and Bill. Luke Pittman is the lead singer and guitarist, fresh from winning last year's KATV battle of the bands and performing his original tunes at Riverfest. He's spent over 18 years playing guitar influenced by southern rock, funk, blues and light jazz, and he's a talented composer as well. Together they blend well into the Second Story Band, promising to start another great tradition of quality fun in Hot Springs.
