Entry Deadline: Entry must be received by 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 28th.
Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
During the payment process you will be asked for your handicap index, phone number or email for handicap verification, club affiliation and GHIN number, so please have those ready and make sure they are entered correctly.
CHAMPIONSHIP TEES: Championship tees will be set at approximately 5800 yards. Yardage for all other flights will be set at approximately 5200 yards. Players who desire to compete from the longer tees in an effort to make Championship Flight must declare this intention. Players who fail to qualify for Championship Flight will be placed in the President’s or Governor’s Flights and will play from the Championship tees. To be eligible for Player of the Year, Fore States, and USGA State Team points, participants must compete from the Championship tees.
Entry Fee: $185.00
Includes: Greens fee, half cart and range for 3 rounds plus social events and two box lunches
If you have your own caddie, additional half cart fee for 3 days will be due at registration ($45.00). Also, guest fees for the welcome party and players’ dinner must be paid at registration. Entry Fee- $185.00; Welcome Party Guest- $10.00; Banquet Guest- $20.00; Caddie-$45.00.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entries are open to amateur female golfer within the meaning prescribed by the USGA and must have a USGA approved handicap index. An entrant must be a member of AWGA (Dues $15) and be a member of an AWGA Member Club ($35) or Association (Dues $35). She may not compete in any one calendar year in both an AWGA Annual State Championship and the annual State Championship of another state. (Members of Texarkana Country Club are exempt from this requirement ) Players younger than sixteen (16) must have an established handicap index of 12.0 or under. (The winner & runner-up of the AWGA Junior Girls’ State Tournament are eligible to participate regardless of age or handicap index.) A junior player may not have a parent or sibling as a caddie. All entries are subject to the approval of both the Board of Directors of the AWGA and the host club and may be rejected at any time. ENTRY PROCEDURE
Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2008. Cancellations must be received by 12:00 p.m. (noon), Monday, July 28th, 2008. No refunds after the deadline unless approved by the AWGA Executive Committee. All cases involving entry refunds will be assessed $20 for administrative expenses.
REGISTRATION
If a player will not be able to register in person during the designated registration period, she must notify the Registration Chairman. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
